Paul's First Blog
For our first blog, we asked these seven questions to our Bliss and Alumni users at a Bliss meeting in April 2014. Please read their comments directly below.
- Name 5 positive things in your life
- What do you like about Bliss and why?
- How do you feel about Toronto's Wheeltrans and why?
- If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?
- How can you help Bliss?
- Name a friend you haven't seen in awhile.
- What do you wish Bliss could do for you?
The results of discussion at the meeting.
Elaine answered the following:
Q#1. The 5 positive things in my life are: I have Emily, I have Shirley, I have Cindy, I have my courage, I am happy to know Paul Marshall
Q#6. A friend I have not seen for awhile is Anne Martin, a teacher from Newfoundland. I trust her so much and I have not seen her in more than a year.
Q#5. How I can help Bliss is by holding a fund-raising party.
Joe answered the following:
Q#1. The 5 positive things in my life are: Bliss. I am thankful for Bliss being there during my childhood years, Kristen my cat for her companionship, My AAC User's Class, My wheelchair for providing me with independence. Finally, I am thankful for my friends including Shirley, Stephen Phillips, Elaine Drover, Paul Myers, Christine Jimenez, Silvano, Roberto, Amy and Rebecca
Q#3. I feel the Wheeltrans program can be better. It can be improved by waiting longer for their clients. Also, they should phone first to alert us they are coming.
Q#5. I would like to help Bliss by winning the lottery and building, not just a Bliss House but a Bliss Hotel.
Silvano answered the following:
Q#1. The 5 positive things in my life are: Good health, Talking with friends, Bliss, Family, Music
Christine answered only 2 questions:
Q#4. If I could change one thing about my life, I would like to get an apartment and share it with a girlfriend
Q#6. The friend I have not seen in awhile is Michael Bedard from Parry Sound. The reason I would like to see him is because he is sweet. (Elaine thinks Michael is "cute",
Joe thinks he is "OK", and Jenny Jimenez thinks he is "adventurous")
Paul answered the following:
Q#2. What I like about Bliss is that it helps me communicate and in turn help others.
Q#6. The friend which I have not seen in awhile is Laura Dickson and Marie Forth. I would like to see them again because they are nice and fun.
Q#3. I feel negative about Toronto's Wheeltrans. They are not on time and it costs too much. It should be free.
