{"id":1222,"date":"2022-04-03T00:38:54","date_gmt":"2022-04-03T04:38:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blissymbolics.ca\/w532\/?p=1222"},"modified":"2022-04-19T16:49:35","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T20:49:35","slug":"sunflower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blissymbolics.ca\/w532\/uncategorized\/sunflower\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunflower"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"138\" height=\"99\" src=\"https:\/\/blissymbolics.ca\/w532\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1232\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the beginning the sunflower was a very tiny seed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But in the soil it started growing quickly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And&nbsp; so it was with me, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I got to learn bliss symbols<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted to talk a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think it is the same for many children&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who cannot talk with their mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did not understand those who asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was&nbsp; it hard being a child?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because when I was little<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u00b4t know how it felt talking.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I look back in time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I feel like a sunflower<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because I like to learn the bliss symbols quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the Sunflower has started to flourish<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the same with my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Sunflower<\/em> was written by Leo Lepp\u00e4l\u00e4, from Finland. He shared his poem at our Canadian Faces meeting on March 27 with the help of Gitta L\u00f6nnqvist,  his speech therapist and Bliss instructor when he was younger, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leo wrote <em>Sunflower<\/em> in 1993 when he spent 2 years in Sweden at FURUBODA. At that time,  Leo  used the Finnish BLISS MASTER software. I only just the other day learnt that sunflower is the national flower of Ukraina.
